After Health Secretary Paulyn Ubial committed to help in passage of a law on Hemophilia Care, Hemophilia Advocates and BBA leaders went to the House of Representatives and the Senate to meet with legislators.

On Feb. 17, 2017, Sen. Joel Villanueva filed Senate Bill 1335 or the Bleeding Disorders Standard of Care Bill. It calls for the establishment of Hemophilia Treatment Centers all over the Philippines and the allocation of funding for the purchase of factor concentrates.

Hemophilia Association of Davao (HAnD), have committed to lobby the filing at the House of Representatives through congressmen in their districts who are allied with President Duterte. We are expecting the House version to filed within the next month.

Hemophilia Advocates visited the House of Representatives to seek support for the filing of the Bleeding Disorders Standard of Care Bill.
