Celebrating 8 Years of Resilience: A Heartfelt Thank You!

Hemophilia Advocates-Philippines proudly celebrated its 8th anniversary last Sept. 14 at Avida Towers Centera Clubhouse. With the theme “Resilient at Eight,” the event marked not just a milestone but also a heartfelt celebration of the strength and unity of our incredible community.

We were thrilled to see our hemophilia warriors, their families, and our dedicated partners, including the UP Red Cross Youth and Takeda Healthcare Philippines, Inc. We also acknowledge the virtual presence of Congressman Patrick Michael “PM” Vargas, Ms. Ladine Roxas, Sir Vehnee Saturno, and our very own Peter John Tetangco, one of our youth leaders who is now in London, who sent video greetings and well-wishes. Together, we commemorated our advocacy efforts in raising awareness about hemophilia, reminisced about our successful programs and their impact on the community, and looked forward with hope to the years ahead.

The day was filled with joy and laughter, as everyone enjoyed the carnival-themed celebration. A total of 228 attendees took part in classic carnival games like Spin The Wheel, Target Shooting, and Ring Toss, among others, as well as exciting raffle prizes and a fun photo booth that captured everyone’s smiles.

A special thank you to Jollibee Philippines for providing the delicious food that fueled our festivities, and to our members who brought dishes to share with the attendees. The warmth and spirit of gratitude were truly felt by everyone present!

We also extend our gratitude to Fr. Robert Reyes, also known as the “running priest,” for officiating a mass and blessing our members.

As we reflected on our journey, we celebrated not only the progress we've made in advocating for the bleeding disorders community but also the resilient spirit of our members. Each story shared and every smile seen reminded us of the strength that binds us together.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who attended and contributed to making this event a success. Your support fuels our mission and inspires us to continue advocating for our community. Here's to eight years of resilience, and to many more years of hope, strength, and togetherness!
